Welcoming the longest night of the year with handmade gifts for our feathered friends, a family-led drum circle, warm cider, and a little winter magic as the sun slipped away.
Our Winter Solstice Celebration was a cozy gathering to welcome the changing season and notice the quiet beauty of winter together. Children and families made homemade bird feeders to care for our backyard feathered friends, then gathered for a drum circle led by Nature School parent Madeline as the afternoon light began to fade. With snacks and warm cider to share, we watched the sun set on the shortest day of the year and welcomed the longest night with rhythm, community, and connection to the natural world. It was a simple, beautiful reminder that even in the darkest season, there is warmth, wonder, and plenty to celebrate.
